Kaufgut through the ages: a journey back in time
1971 "Kaufgut Italy SpA" officially starts operations at its new headquarters in Bolzano.
1973 An innovative EDP system with punch cards and tape drives is introduced in administration and merchandise management.
1975 Heinz Desaler embarks on his first buying trip to Southeast Asia. Shortly afterwards, the first goods arrive from South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines and Hong Kong.
1976 The Kaufgut company obtains the rights to use the Eva brand with the red apple.
1978 The existing warehouse is extended by an annex and inaugurated to mark the 100th anniversary of "C. Desaler".
1993 In the wake of the foundation of the European Union, with the largest domestic market in the world, Kaufgut intensifies its trade activities with the Far East, including China, and develops an extensive assortment with its own Eva brand.
2001 The Eva brand, including the international rights to the trademark, the red apple, passes into the ownership of Kaufgut.
2003 The "Eva Home Store" celebrates its grand opening in Bruneck.
2004 The sons Karl and Paul Desaler join the company bringing the 5th generation of the family on board.
2011 Kaufgut acquires the brand rights and the entire engineering business of the moka manufacturer Forever from Lake Maggiore. This marks the beginning of its export activities with its two own brands, Eva and Forever. In the same year, Kaufgut is honoured for its 90th participation in the "Macef Milan".
